Day 24
Call to Prayer
Lord, I am distracted. Help me to listen.
Lord, I am in a hurry. Slow me down.
Lord, I don’t know what to pray. Give me the words.
In Christ’s name, Amen.
Silence
Psalm 27:11–14
Teach me your way, O LORD,
and lead me on a level path
because of my enemies.
Give me not up to the will of my adversaries;
for false witnesses have risen against me,
and they breathe out violence.
I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living!
Wait for the LORD;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the LORD!

Prayer of Response
Gracious God. We confess that too often we resign certain people to condemnation, outside the realm of your power to save them. But, we are reminded that when we were dead in our sin, you saved us. Can you not do the same for even one who is against you and your people? Help us to pray in this way. And, even when we are persecuted, give us strength to stand firm upon Christ, our foundation. Amen.
Prayers of Supplication
For your enemies
For the persecuted church around the world
For us to be a faithful witness
For the lost in our families and our communities
For a willingness to forgive a friend or family member
