Day 29
Call to Prayer
O God, you declare your almighty power chiefly in showing mercy and pity: Grant us the fullness of your grace, that we, running to obtain your promises, may become partakers of your heavenly treasure; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Silence
Psalm 84:1–2, 10-12
How lovely is your dwelling place,
O LORD of hosts!
My soul longs, yes, faints
for the courts of the LORD;
my heart and flesh sing for joy
to the living God.
For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
the LORD bestows favor and honor.
No good thing does he withhold
from those who walk uprightly.
O LORD of hosts,
blessed is the one who trusts in you!

Prayer of Response
Lord, you are calling every tribe, tongue, and nation to you. Your truth flourishes in every culture. Help us to lay down our entitlement and see the beauty of diversity. We pray you tear down the walls of division that exist between us. We pray that our preferences would not lead to division but would leave room for teachability, even change. Humble us, O God. Amen.
Prayers of Supplication
For greater diversity in our church
For a desire to engage with other cultures
For the gospel to flourish in our refugee communities
For a spirit of hospitality that challenges our comfort zones
