Thank you for serving our church today! Here’s a list of tasks that will make the service go smoothly:
When You Arrive…
1) If the lights aren’t already on, turn on all of the lights.
2) Turn on the stage rack by pressing the main power switch.
3) Turn on the speakers by pressing the power buttons on the back of each speaker.
4) Turn on the subwoofer by pressing the power button on the back of the subwoofer
5) Turn on the soundboard using the power switch on the back of the board.
6) Open the iPad and unlock it using the password 2019. Open the green Stage Mix (SM) app in the dock. Use this app to walk around the Sanctuary and adjust the sound mix as the band plays.
7) Wake up the computer by pressing the spacebar on the keyboard (if this doesn’t work, press the power button on the bottom of the computer). The password is 2019.
8) Turn on all four TVs using their respective remotes.
During the Service
If you’re running both sound and slides on your own, here’s how we would like you to prioritize your mental energy:
Make sure the correct slide is on screen
Make sure the preacher’s microphone is turned off or on, whichever is correct for that moment
Adjust the sound mix of the instruments
Tip for running slides: change the slide sooner than you think. During a song, it’s good to have the next slide up well before they start singing those words. You don’t always have to wait until the last word of the current slide is sung to change the slide, sometimes its a good idea to change it as they finish singing that slide.
Recording the Sermon
To record the sermon press the “A” button at the top-right corner of the soundboard. On the screen, a red dot should appear on the cassette tape icon located at the top-right corner of the screen. To stop the recording, press the “B” button next to the “A”.
Before You Leave
Do the steps above in reverse order, except for the following:
The computer will put itself to sleep
Leave the lights on if people are still lingering. If you know that someone else will take care of the lights as the last person out, you can skip turning the lights off.
