Day 48

Call to Prayer

O God, you declare your almighty power chiefly in showing mercy and pity: Grant us the fullness of your grace, that we, running to obtain your promises, may become partakers of your heavenly treasure; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Silence

Psalm 25:16–22

Turn to me and be gracious to me,
for I am lonely and afflicted.
The troubles of my heart are enlarged;
bring me out of my distresses.
Consider my affliction and my trouble,
and forgive all my sins.
Consider how many are my foes,
and with what violent hatred they hate me.
Oh, guard my soul, and deliver me!
Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.
May integrity and uprightness preserve me,
for I wait for you.
Redeem Israel, O God,
out of all his troubles.

Prayer of Response

God, we long for the lost to open their eyes and turn from darkness to light. We long for them to joyfully receive forgiveness of sins and stand righteous in Christ. Help us to stand firm and faithfully proclaim Christ. Holy Spirit, send us. Help us. In Christ’s name, amen.

Prayers of Supplication

Is there someone in your life that you think could never become a Christian? Pray for him or her. Pray boldly.
