Day 33

Call to Prayer

Lord, I fear that my intention to pray right now will be overcome by my to-do list. Help me focus.
Help me be still.
Feed me by Word and Spirit today. Amen.

Silence

Psalm 24:7–10

Lift up your heads, O gates!
And be lifted up, O ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The LORD, strong and mighty,
the LORD, mighty in battle!
Lift up your heads, O gates!
And lift them up, O ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The LORD of hosts,
he is the King of glory! Selah

Prayer of Response

Lord, you are our defender. You are the keeper of justice. Let us not be overcome by our enemies, and let us not depend upon our own strength. We long to give you all glory and honor. And, we ask that your Word would increase and multiply in our hearts, our church, our neighborhood, and in our city. In Christ’s name, amen.

Prayers of Supplication

For your enemies
For the gospel to increase in the Castlewood neighborhood
For the artists in our city to see the beauty of Christ
