Day 31
Call to Prayer
God, we are humbled that you would give us a place in your redemptive story. In your patience and kindness, draw us again to Yourself, that we would see that all the other things to which we cling will not satisfy us. Help us put our hope in you. Help us in our unbelief. Speak O Lord, for your servant is listening. Amen.
Silence
Psalm 42:1–4
As a deer pants for flowing streams,
so pants my soul for you, O God.
My soul thirsts for God,
for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God?
My tears have been my food
day and night,
while they say to me all the day long,
“Where is your God?”
These things I remember,
as I pour out my soul:
how I would go with the throng
and lead them in procession to the house of God
with glad shouts and songs of praise,
a multitude keeping festival.

God, you are with us, and you sustain us in our work and in our relationships. Lord, by Your Spirit, give us steadfast purpose, that through us and our church, many more would be added to your number. By your grace alone, through the person and work of Christ, Amen.
